Wish.it is owned and operated by Social Amp, Inc an online social media company based in New York that specializes in the use of social media for customer and user acquisition, engagement, purchase, and retention.

Wish.it is Social Amp’s first social media product for online retailers. Our goal with Wish.it is to help consumers acquire and purchase the products they care for, and to help retailers increase conversions using social media.

Wish.it is a plug and play application (1 line of pasted-in code) that lives on any retailer page and that allows online users to wish for consumer products and share them with friends across the largest social networks with only one click. When a user clicks on the Wish.it button anywhere across the web, the product they wish for can appear on activity streams, user profiles and fan pages on massive social networks like Facebook, Twitter and MySpace and on social media blogs across the web. Friends see these product impressions and can click through to purchase the product for themselves… or for the user that wished it!

Social Amp’s suite of social media products includes social modules installed on any retailer or publisher’s site with only one line of code. Similar to Wish.it, each product integrates directly with the latest APIs on the largest social platforms making the site instantly social and enabling viral marketing across online social media channels and activity streams.

Powering the tracking and analytics behind the social media lead-generation platform is AmpMetrics, a web-based social media analytics product that provides metrics for all of Social Amp’s products including click throughs, conversions and social demographics. AmpMetrics helps retailers and publishers track clicks and conversions generated by products like Wish.it, and optimize their yield by varying items like newsfeed copy and product images.
